Cold Rooms

A stable cold room environment is necessary for most types of product storage. Minute fluctuations in temperature and humidity can adversely affect product viability, making properly designed cold rooms critically important.

Environmental Specialties has extensive experience designing and installing cold rooms with single-point or variable set-point temperature control, volumetric uniformity, and advanced dehumidification equipment to help maintain precise relative humidity (RH).

Our cold rooms are suitable for a wide range of storage applications in a variety of industries, including:

  • Bulk raw material and finished product
  • Media, chemical, and reagent holding
  • Depressed temperature stability and shelf-life studies
  • Hazardous material
  • Vaccines and drug product
  • Chromatography and analytical separations
  • Plasma and blood product

Versatile Cold Room Design

Designed for everything from laboratory use to warehouse storage, our cold rooms combine maximum flexibility with precise reliability. We offer the latest humidity and temperature control technology, redundancy features, and more.

  • “During a recent external audit, an inspector requested the PM/Cal documents for the stability chambers. It was my pleasure to give him the nicely presented binders. I could tell he was impressed.

Thanks for the great service you have provided for us over the years.”

Teresa P, Taste Texture and Health, DSM-Firmenich

  • “Environmental Specialties has always provided me with great service. All the individuals I worked with were knowledgeable about ES products and services.  They were highly skilled. I relied on ES for pm, calibration, qualification, repair, chamber sourcing and consultations. I interacted with a lot of your employees.  The feedback was always spot on. They were always smiling and supportive even in the most difficult situations. ES is a great company with good people.”
